Warranty Policy

General Terms and Conditions

1. Warranty

1.1. M&O Creations S.L. warrants that its products are free from defects in materials for the periods set out below, commencing on the date of delivery to the customer.

1.2. In compliance with the Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, the Protection of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws, durable goods are granted a legal warranty of 3 years from the date of purchase and/or delivery. Clients who are legal entities have a legal guarantee of 1 year from the date of invoice.

1.3. The warranty covers any manufacturing defects or lack of conformity that may arise during this period.

2. Reporting Defects

2.1. The customer must notify M&O Creations S.L. of any visible defects, damage, or non-conformity with the order within seven (7) days of receiving the order.

2.2. Failure to notify within the stated period may be deemed acceptance of the goods as delivered.

2.3. Notifications shall be made in writing to info@molivings.com and must include:

(a) order number;
(b) a clear description of the issue; and
(c) photographic and/or other reasonable evidence.

2.4. Where a valid claim is received, M&O Creations S.L. will provide a replacement within a reasonable period of time.

2.5. For other manufacturing defects or non-conformity discovered in a later stage, but within the warranty period, the customer retains their legal right to notify within two (2) months of detection, and within the legal warranty period of three (3) years.

3. Handcrafted Characteristics

3.1. Many items are handcrafted. Minor variations in design, colour, dimensions, texture, finish, grain, or patina are inherent characteristics and shall not constitute defects or grounds for a warranty claim.

4. Proof of Purchase

4.1. A valid proof of purchase (order confirmation/receipt) is required for all warranty claims. M&O Creations S.L. may decline claims lacking adequate proof.

5. Claim Procedure

5.1. Submit claims by email to info@molivings.com with the information set out in Clause 2.3.

5.2. M&O Creations S.L. will assess the claim and may request additional details or arrange a physical inspection.

5.3. If the claim is approved, M&O Creations S.L. will determine, at its sole discretion, whether repair, replacement, or supply of replacement parts is the appropriate remedy and will advise next steps.

6. Limitations, Exclusions, and Customer Responsibilities

6.1. Natural Materials: Variations and characteristics typical of natural materials (including wood grain, colour and tone variation, knots, veining, patina) are not defects.

6.2. Wear and Tear: Normal ageing and wear (including but not limited to abrasion, pilling, stretching, flattening of cushions, fabric/leather creasing, fading or discolouration from light exposure, and stains) are excluded.

6.3. Care and Maintenance: The customer must follow reasonable care instructions. Damage caused by improper cleaning (including harsh or abrasive products, unsuitable solvents, or unapproved treatments) voids the warranty.

6.4. Misuse and Accidents: The warranty does not cover damage arising from neglect, abuse, improper use, improper storage, impact, drops, cuts, burns, tears, pet damage, infestation, moisture or humidity damage, or other accidental causes.

6.5. Outdoor Use: Products are intended for indoor residential use unless expressly stated otherwise. Use outdoors without express designation voids the warranty.

6.6. Alterations and Unauthorised Repairs: Any modification, disassembly, re-upholstery, or repair by the customer or by unauthorised third parties voids the warranty.

6.7. Chain of Supply: This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from M&O Creations S.L. Purchases from unauthorised sellers are excluded.

6.8. Comfort Preferences: Subjective comfort assessments do not indicate manufacturing defects and are excluded.

6.9. Post-Warranty Defects: For defects first arising or reported after the applicable warranty period, the customer is responsible for materials, parts, labour, and transportation costs.

7. Remedies and Process

7.1. Where a valid claim is accepted within the applicable period, M&O Creations S.L. will, at its option:

(a) repair the product;
(b) replace the product or affected component with the same or comparable item; or
(c) supply parts and instructions to remedy the defect.

7.2. Replacement or repaired items are warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

7.3. M&O Creations S.L. may require the return of the item or component for inspection. For replacements, products must be returned in their original packaging (or equivalent protective packaging) to mitigate transit damage.

7.4. Where a claim is accepted within the warranty period, M&O Creations S.L. will cover reasonable costs of materials, parts, labour, and standard shipping associated with the approved remedy.

7.5. M&O Creations S.L. is not responsible for:

(a) removal/re-installation costs unrelated to the approved remedy;
(b) loss of use;
(c) incidental or consequential damages, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Additional Terms

8.1. This warranty is non-transferable and extends solely to the original purchaser.

8.2. Nothing in this Warranty limits or excludes any statutory rights that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable consumer protection law. This Warranty operates in addition to such mandatory rights.
